1990年生于江西九江，现生活工作于上海。赵谦关注流转的动物形象，游戏的运行机制、模拟行为，图像的转译功能。个展曾于连州摄影博物馆、集美·阿尔勒国际摄影季、休斯顿摄影中心和芝加哥Filter空间展出。他的作品广泛展出于UCCA尤伦斯当代艺术中心、K11艺术基金会、中国美术学院美术馆、成都A4美术馆、浙江美术馆、今日美术馆、爱尔兰拉什法恩汉姆城堡、Kala艺术中心、克罗地亚法国馆 、萨格勒布当代艺术博物馆和奥格登南方艺术美术馆等。 其作品还展出于英国Format摄影节、荷兰Unseen摄影节、新加坡国际摄影节、雅典摄影节、哥本哈根摄影节、罗兹国际摄影节、影像上海艺术博览会、艺术厦门和艺术北京等。赵谦曾获休斯顿摄影中心年度摄影奖（2019）、入围华宇青年奖（2020），入围集美阿尔勒发现奖（2022）。并获学术奖金赴斯沃琪和平饭店、A4美术馆、几点当代艺术中心、香港中文大学（深圳）、器空间、Vermont艺术中心、Kala艺术中心和Cow House工作室参加艺术家驻地项目。

Zhao Qian focuses on the circulation of animal images (especially the image of the pig), the operating mechanism of the game, the simulated behaviour, and the translational function of images. Solo exhibitions have been shown at the Lianzhou Museum of Photography, Jimei-Arles International Photography Festival, Houston Center for Photography, and Filter Space in Chicago. His work has been widely exhibited at UCCA, K11 Art Foundation, China Academy of Art Museum, A4 Museum of Art, Zhejiang Art Museum and Today Art Museum, Rathfarnham Castle in Ireland, Kala Art Center, French Pavilion in Croatia, Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb, and Ogden Museum of Southern Art.

His works have also been exhibited at the Format Photography Festival (UK), Unseen Photography Festival (Netherlands), Singapore International Photography Festival, Athens Photography Festival, Copenhagen Photography Festival, Lodz International Photography Festival, Shanghai Photo Fair, Art Xiamen, and Art Beijing. Zhao Qian was awarded the Houston Center for Photography Annual Photography Award (2019), shortlisted for the Huayu Youth Award (2020), and shortlisted for the Jimei Arles Discovery Award (2022). He was also awarded academic prizes for participating in artist residency programs at Swatch Peace Hotel, A4 Art Museum, Points Contemporary Art Centers, Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), Vermont Art Center, Kala Art Center, and Cow House Studio.
